Seven terms I picked up —
1. Korean Skincare
The famous 10-step, 7-step, and so on popular skincare routine. The steps can be customized as per choice. The essential parts are — "double-cleansing" and "layering".
2. Double-cleansing
It is about using an oil-based cleanser followed by a foam-based cleanser. The former is for oil-based impurities, and the latter is for air-based impurities.
3. Layering
The routine after cleansing is to use a toner, a serum, an essence, a lotion, and lastly followed by a moisturizer. Toner is lighter in texture and gets thicker. From thin to thicker — layering it on the skin.
4. SPF
Sun Protection Factor. The more it is, the more protection from UV rays. But if the region needs SPF 20, then the effect of SPF 30 and SPF 50 will be the same.
5. Glass Skin
Glass skin doesn't necessarily mean clear skin. It is about how the skin looks, the shine like glass.
6. Skin type
Is your skin dry, normal, or oily? Cleanse your skin like usual, don't apply anything. Wait for 30 minutes, and feel different parts of your face. Feels oily — not only T-zone, then it's oily skin. Feels tight or dry — dry skin. Feels Normal — then normal skin. If it's a mix, then it's a combination skin type.
7. T-zone
The forehead and nose seem like a T — that's the T-Zone. This is the part of the face that has the highest sebum production.
Bonus
Dehydration is the lack of hydration, and dryness is the lack of moisture.
Thanks for reading! Any terms like this you have come across?
