Tips I picked up in skincare

1. Don't buy too many different products at once

Each product has a shelf life. Those need to be consumed by then, varying from product to product.

Additionally, you may forget what you had purchased, and it could just be there collecting dust.

2. Incorporate the steps slowly into your routine

There are indeed so many steps and so many different categories of products. But they should be added to your routine, one after another. The following product could be your skin’s holy grail in another five years, but it should be introduced alone. Let your skin get accustomed don't suffocate it.

So do your usual routine, then add this one — just one and wait.

3. Give a product a certain period before expecting results.

I give it two weeks before making assumptions. But if you get sensitive after the first few uses — then avoid it. Each person reacts differently.

If not, give the product its chance to shine. And some products do need eight weeks or so for a considerable difference. So check the product.

4. New to adding SPF

Try mixing your moisturizer and SPF and then apply them to your skin. But use only at the start. At one point, you need to use them one after another.

The HABIT is adding SPF, not combining.

5. Near Eyes

The skin near the eyes is thin, so you use minimal strength around that. Supposedly the weakest finger — the ring finger is delicate enough for that job. So whenever applying a cream or product — use your ring finger.

6. Using many moisturizers

You can use a lighter moisturizer during the day and a thicker one at night. You can also change as per the season. I use a gel in the morning and cream at night. Sometimes I find my skin dry during winter mornings and apply a thicker cream.

7. Having a skin cycle

A Skin cycle is like having a weekly schedule for your AM and PM routine. You fix when you want to mask or use a serum that week. Essentially making a weekly timetable from Mon to Sun. That way, you don't miss out on a step.

Thanks for reading! Any tips you had picked like this?
